Indications
Who needs a facelift?
There is no ‘ideal’ age to have a facelift, but the process of ageing is progressive and eventually everyone will develop signs of facial ageing that will make them a candidate…
The most common concerns patients present with are:
- Looseness of the skin at the jawline causing jowls, with or without fatty fullness in the area
- Increasing facial lines and folds – such as the nasolabial folds and lines bracketing the mouth
- Loss of check volume
- Blunting of the angle between the neck and under surface of the chin
- Droopy eyebrows and upper eyelids, and
- Lower eyelid bags with deep groves beneath them
Patients early in the ageing process with less pronounced changes are usually candidates for non-surgical rejuvenation.
