Who needs a facelift?

There is no ‘ideal’ age to have a facelift, but the process of ageing is progressive and eventually everyone will develop signs of facial ageing that will make them a candidate…

The most common concerns patients present with are:

  • Looseness of the skin at the jawline causing jowls, with or without fatty fullness in the area
  • Increasing facial lines and folds – such as the nasolabial folds and lines bracketing the mouth
  • Loss of check volume
  • Blunting of the angle between the neck and under surface of the chin
  • Droopy eyebrows  and upper eyelids, and
  • Lower eyelid bags with deep groves beneath them

Patients early in the ageing process with less pronounced changes are usually candidates for non-surgical rejuvenation.
